Fifteen Crusaders Qualify for New England Championships at BU Season Opener

The Lead: The Holy Cross women's track and field team opened the 2017-2018 indoor season with 15 Crusaders qualifying for the New England Championships in February.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Senior Claire Turner set a school record in the 600m (1:34.67) and finished in fourth place to qualify for the New England Championships.
- Freshman Caroline Hitchcock qualified for the ECAC Championships after a second place finish in a jump-off in the high jump (1.70).
- Sophomore Jenna Gasparrini also qualified for the ECACs with her 5k time of 17:25.28.
- Fifteen different Crusaders qualified for the New England Championships after their performances at the BU Season Opener:

The Crusaders will travel to Kignston, R.I. to compete in the Rhode Island Pentathlon on Dec. 8.
