WORCESTER, Mass. - The Holy Cross men’s lacrosse team will travel to Hamilton, N.Y. to take on Colgate for their final road Patriot League game.
Quick Sticks • The Crusaders hit the road with a 3-8 overall record and 1-5 mark in conference play. • Holy Cross is led by Kevin Kodzis, who has tallied 16 goals and three consecutive hat tricks. Most recently, Kodzis fired off the game-winning overtime goal to send the Crusaders past the Leopards for their first Patriot League win. • Dan O'Connell has recorded 53 ground balls and a .564 win percentage at the faceoff. • Nationally, the Crusaders rank 18th in faceoff winning percentage at .557. • Defensively, Matt Farrell leads Holy Cross with 16 caused turnovers and 47 ground balls. • Jonathan Tesoro has played 555:02 minutes for the Crusaders, amassing 81 saves for an 11.31 save percentage and .440 goals against average. • Two other Crusaders have posted 17 points on the season. Scouting the Raiders • Colgate hosts Holy Cross with a 6-5 overall mark and 2-4 record in conference action. • In their last outing, the Raiders fell to Navy, 12-10. • Mike Hawkins leads Colgate with 28 goals and six assists for 34 points. • At the face off, Collin Orr holds a .620 winning percentage. • The Raiders average 12.73 goals per game, while they average 9.82 goals against per game. • In goal for Colgate, Connor Mullen has played eight games for a 9.55 goals against average and .486 save percentage.
