Grand Opening of the Hart Center at the Luth Athletic Complex set for Saturday
WORCESTER, Mass. – The official blessing, dedication and grand opening of Holy Cross’ new athletic facility, the Hart Center at the Luth Athletic Complex, will take place this Saturday, April 28. This new complex will be the cornerstone of Holy Cross’ athletic success for generations to come, giving all Crusader student-athletes a world-class collegiate, competitive experience.
Through the great generosity of Holy Cross’ alumni, parents, friends and supporters, the Hart Center at the Luth Athletic Complex is a facility that puts the College a step above its peer institutions. The new Indoor Practice Facility includes 64,000 square feet of space for use by all varsity teams, while the Coach George Blaney ’61 Gymnasium serves as a top-notch practice court for the basketball and volleyball programs. In addition, the Carol and Park B. Smith ’54 Sports Performance Center features 9,500 square feet of space for the strength and conditioning needs of all varsity sports. These areas and many others will be on display for everyone to see this Saturday.
