WORCESTER, Mass. - The Holy Cross baseball team is set to return to the Patriot League Tournament, as they begin the defense of their 2017 Patriot League Championship with a semifinal matchup at top-seeded Navy. All three game of the best-of-three series will be broadcast live on the Patriot League Network (PatriotLeague.TV).

• Holy Cross closed out its regular season with an 0-4 weekend at home, falling twice to both Lafayette and Lehigh in Worcester.
• The Crusaders posted an overall record of 17-25 with an 11-14 mark in Patriot League play to earn the fourth seed in the tournament.
• Sophomore Austin Masel leads the offense for the Crusaders, batting .321 on the year while ranking second on the team with 25 runs scored and 23 RBIs. He has also added nine extra-base hits and holds a slugging percentage of .489.
• Junior Danny Barlok leads all pitchers with a 1.85 ERA and a 5-2 record on the year. In 19 relief appearances he has pitched 48.2 innings and tossed a team-leading 71 strikeouts with three saves.
• Head Coach Greg DiCenzo is currently in his 11th season at the helm of the Crusaders, and has posted an overall record of 262-289-1 with a 122-99 record in Patriot League regular season games. He has led Holy Cross to five previous Patriot League Championship Series appearances, and most recently helped the program win its first title in 2017 and advance to its first NCAA Tournament Appearance since 1978.

• Holy Cross is 41-68 all-time against the Midshipmen.
• In the Patriot League Tournament, Navy holds the series edge at 5-4.
• The two teams last met in the conference postseason in 2016, with Navy winning the championship series in three games in Annapolis.

• Navy earned at least a share of the Patriot League regular season title for the fourth-straight season, finishing the regular season with an 18-7 record in Patriot League play and a 36-13 overall mark.
• The Mids had eight student-athletes selected to All-Patriot League teams, including two major awards with Defensive Player of the Year Zach Biggers and Coach of the Year Paul Kostacopoulos.
• Biggers leads the offense for Navy, batting .351 on the year with 41 runs score, 31 RBIs and 18 doubles. On defense, the infielder boasts a .979 fielding percentage, earning 86 putouts with 144 assists and just five errors on the season.
• Noah Song leads the starting rotation for the Mids, holding an ERA of 1.42 with a 6-3 record on the year. In 12 starts he has pitched 76 innings and tossed five complete games while adding 106 strikeouts.
• Kostacopoulos is in his 13th season with Navy, and has led the Mids to nine 30+ win seasons in that time.
