Chris Rinaldi Selected For NEIBA All-Star Game
WORCESTER, Mass. – Sophomore shortstop Chris Rinaldi has been selected to compete in the New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIBA) All-Star Game. The game will take place tomorrow, May 31, at McCoy Stadium in Pawtucket, R.I. beginning at 12:00 p.m. Rinaldi was one of 20 Division I student-athletes in the New England area selected to compete in the game.
Rinaldi was one of the top batters for Holy Cross throughout the season, batting .320 on the year while starting 44 of the Crusaders’ 45 games at shortstop. He led Holy Cross with 29 runs scored and 12 extra-base hits on the year. Rinaldi ranked second with a .453 slugging percentage and a .398 on-base percentage while adding 13 RBIs on the season. He was named First Team All-Patriot League following the regular season, and earned Crusader of the Week honors.
Holy Cross finished its season with an 18-27 record and an 11-14 mark in the Patriot League, qualifying for the conference postseason for the fourth-straight year.
