WORCESTER, Mass. - The Holy Cross field hockey team claimed its first win of the season, 4-0 over Bucknell, Saturday afternoon.

The Crusaders (1-9-0, 1-1-0 PL) got three goals on the day from senior Emily Loprete and one from senior Suzanne Noone. Freshman Keely Smith and Noone both recorded assists.

In the 10th minute, Loprete found the back of the net when she took a long pass up the left sideline for a fast break and beat the keeper. Then, only two mintues later Noone found Loprete on the back line who was able to sneak it by the goalie for her second of the day.

Noone got in on the scoring action in the 35th minute when she took a rebound and sunk it for her first goal of the year.

Loprete added a third goal in the second half to complete her hat trick and seal the win for the Crusaders.

Holy Cross will be back in action on Saturday, Oct. 6 at Lehigh.
