Women's Tennis Comes up Short Against Providence

WORCESTER, Mass. - The Holy Cross women's tennis team lost to Providence, 7-0, Saturday afternoon. Three of the singles competitors won a set, but couldn't pull through to get the match victory. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Allison Reiling fell in No. 1 singles, 1-6, 1-6.
  • Sophia Papa lost in No. 2 singles, 6-7 (4-7), 5-7.
  • Maddie DeNucci put up a fight in No. 3 singles, but came up short, 5-7, 7-5, 4-10
  • Morgan McGuire fell in No. 4 singles 3-6, 3-6.
  • Jennifery Kary lost in No. 5 singles, 7-6 (7-2), 2-6, 3-6.
  • Caroline Kam was defeated in No. 6 singles, 6-0, 5-7, 3-6. 
  • The three doubles competition was scored as one cumulative team point, and the Crusaders dropped all three matches.
