Holy Cross Announces Complete 2017-2018 Women's Basketball Schedule

WORCESTER, Mass. - Holy Cross Director of Athletics Nathan Pine and head women’s basketball coach Bill Gibbons have announced the Crusaders’ schedule for the 2017-2018 season. Holy Cross is set to play a total of 30 games prior to the Patriot League Tournament, with 15 of them at the Hart Center at the Luth Athletic Complex.

The Crusaders will play 11 non-conference games to begin their season, including five home games and six road contests. Holy Cross will play host to Boston College on Dec. 6, and defending America East Champion Albany on Dec. 3. The Crusaders will also play host to Bryant on Nov. 26, Vermont on Dec. 9 and Dartmouth on Dec. 20.


After wrapping up non-conference play against Dartmouth on Dec. 20, the Crusaders will return to action with their first Patriot League contest at Colgate on Dec. 29. Holy Cross will then kick off the new year with a pair of home games against Lafayette on Jan. 2 and Lehigh on Jan. 5.


Following the first week of the new year, the Crusaders will host three more home games during the month of January, and welcome four Patriot League opponents in February. Holy Cross will play host to 2017 conference runner-up Navy on Jan. 11, and welcome defending Patriot League Champion Bucknell to the Hart Center at the Luth Athletic Complex on Jan. 20. The Crusaders will then play host to American on Jan. 24. During the month of February, Holy Cross will host Loyola (Md.) (Feb. 3), Turnpike Trophy rival Boston University (Feb. 10), Army West Point (Feb. 14) and Colgate (Feb. 24) in Worcester.


Holy Cross will play eight Patriot League road games following the new year, starting with Loyola (Md.) on Jan. 8. The Crusaders will also be traveling to Boston University on Jan. 13 and Army West Point on Jan. 17. The team will close out the month of January on the road at Lafayette on Jan. 27. In February, Holy Cross will head to Navy (Feb. 7), Bucknell (Feb. 17), American (Feb. 21) and Lehigh (Feb. 28).


The Patriot League Championship is scheduled to begin with the first round on March 3, followed by the quarterfinals on March 5, semifinals on March 8 and the Championship Game on March 11.
