Men's Rowing Announces Chris Paul as 2017-2018 Captain
WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross men’s rowing program has named Chris Paul as its captain for the 2017-2018 season.
Paul, a Veteran Leader in the Holy Cross Leadership Academy, has rowed three seasons in the varsity four and varsity eight boats. In the 2016-2017 season, Paul was a member of the varsity eight to have finished third in the Murphy Cup (Mar. 25), defeated MIT (April 1), and defeated No. 20 Drexel (Apr. 8). He was also a member of the varsity four that won the third-level final at the National Championship (June 4).
As a sophomore in the 2015-2016 season, Paul rowed on the varsity eight that came in first of 18 at the Snake Regatta (Oct. 10), finished 14th of 41 teams at the Head of the Charles Regatta (Oct. 17 & 18). Paul was also a member of the varsity four boat that finished fourth at the IRA National Championship, the program’s best finish since 1983.
In his rookie season, Paul rowed on the varsity eight that beat Gonzaga and Georgetown (April 18), and rowed at the IRA National Championship.
