Collett, Dumaresque, and Ferrill Named AHCA All-American Scholars

Holy Cross Athletics   07-31-2018

WORCESTER, Mass. Mitch Collett, Andrew Dumaresque, and Ryan Ferrill each earned American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) All-American Scholars accolades for their performance in the 2017-2018 season.

More than 1,000 student-athletes were honored as the inaugural group of All-American Scholars by the AHCA. In order to qualify for the award, a student-athlete with a Division I or III ice hockey team must have posted a grade point average of at least 3.6 the past year and participated in 40% of their team’s games.

As a junior in the 2017-2018 season, Collett played in 31 games for the Crusaders and picked up 11 points on five goals and six assists. The forward tallied the team’s only shorthanded goal of the season. This is the third time Collett has received AHCA All-American Scholar accolades and is a three-time member of the Atlantic Hockey All-Academic Team.

In his rookie season, Dumaresque played in 16 games for the Crusaders. He tallied one goal and one assist for two points. Dumaresque was also a selection to the Atlantic Hockey All-Academic Team with a 4.00 GPA as an Economics and Mathematics double major.

In his final season with the Crusaders, Ferrill played in all 36 games for Holy Cross. He tallied six goals and 10 assists for 16 points. Ferrill was a four-time Atlantic Hockey All-Academic Team member and earned AHCA All-American Scholar accolades for the third-consecutive season.
