Women's Hockey Announces 2019-20 Schedule
WORCESTER, Mass. – Head Holy Cross women’s ice hockey coach Katie Lachapelle has announced the team’s schedule for the upcoming 2019-20 season.
Entering their second season as a member of Hockey East, the Crusaders will play a 33-game slate that features 27 conference matchups as well as six contests against non-conference opponents.
The season gets under way on Sept. 21 at Colgate. Holy Cross will then welcome Penn State to Worcester for two games for the first ever meeting between the teams on Sept. 27 and 28. Another first for the program, the Crusaders will travel to St. Lawrence on Oct. 19 and 20 for their first meeting with the Saints. Non-conference play concludes on Oct. 27 against RPI at the Hart Center.
Hockey East action begins with a pair of home games against Boston College on Oct. 3 and Connecticut on Oct. 12. Within the first two months of the season, Holy Cross will also take on Providence (Nov. 1), New Hampshire (Nov. 3), Northeastern (Nov. 8), Maine (Nov. 9), and Merrimack (Nov. 14 & 15).
The Crusaders won’t face Boston University until a home-and-home series beginning Jan. 17 and will have to wait even longer to see Vermont, with the first game against the Catamounts not coming until Feb. 2.
For the second year in a row, Holy Cross will wrap up its season against Providence. Senior Night will be Feb. 21 against the Friars, with an away contest the next night serving as the team’s final regular season game.
