WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross women’s ice hockey head coach Katie Lachapelle has announced the hiring of Nicholas Neary as the program’s new director of operations.

“We are excited to welcome Nick to the Holy Cross family," Lachapelle said. "He is a welcome addition to our program and will continue to help us grow."

Most recently, Neary spent the last week and a half with the U.S. U18 and U22 Women’s Select teams working in video production in Lake Placid, N.Y. at the 2019 Women’s National Festival. He will continue to serve in the same role for the teams’ series against Canada, which begin today and run through Aug. 17.

Neary previously served as the Video/Hockey Operations Coordinator for the Elmira College women’s hockey team for the last three years. He has also spent time as a skate room worker in Salem, N.H. and as a Business Associate at Medicus Health Care Solutions. Neary has volunteered at the Murphy’s Garrisons Golf Center since 2010 and spent three years working with the Special Olympics, from 2014-2017.

Neary graduated from Elmira College in 2019 with a B.S. in both Business Administration and Political Science.

The Crusaders are set to begin their season on Sept. 21 at Colgate.
