Jehyve Floyd Named To All-Patriot League Tournament Team
WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross junior forward Jehyve Floyd has been named to the 2018 All-Patriot League Tournament team in men’s basketball. In the Patriot League Tournament, Floyd helped the sixth-seeded Crusaders to an 81-65 victory at No. 3 seed Navy in the quarterfinals, before they suffered a narrow 62-55 loss at No. 2 seed Colgate in the semifinals.
During the Navy game, Floyd led the team with 20 points, four rebounds, three assists and two blocked shots. Then in the contest at Colgate, he totaled 14 points, three rebounds, two assists and two blocks. Over the course of the tournament, Floyd averaged 17.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.0 blocks per game, while hitting 82.4 percent of his field goal attempts (14 of 17).
Overall this season, Floyd averaged 12.2 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.2 blocks, while ranking fifth in the nation with a .668 field goal percentage. He was named the Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year, in addition to being selected to the All-Patriot League third team and the Patriot League All-Defensive team.
Holy Cross finished the year with an overall record of 12-19, and placed sixth in the Patriot League with an 8-10 mark in conference regular season play.
