The Holy Cross women’s basketball team is back in action Wednesday, as the Crusaders play host to Boston College in non-conference action at the Hart Center at the Luth Athletic Complex. Wednesday’s game will be broadcast locally in Worcester on Charter TV3, and streamed online via the Patriot League Network (PatriotLeague.TV). In addition, the game will be broadcast on Emmanuel Radio (1230 AM | 1230radio.com) with Bob Fouracre on play-by-play.

• Holy Cross most recently fell to Albany at home this past Sunday, 65-56.
• Sophomore Lauren Manis leads the Patriot League with 20.6 points per game and ranks eighth in rebounds per game with 8.7. She set a new career-high with 28 points in the loss at Hofstra, and recorded the 12th double-double of her career against Albany.
• Senior Infiniti Thomas-Waheed ranks second in the Patriot League with 18.3 points per game. She currently has 973 career points, needing just 27 to reach the 1,000-point milestone.
• The Crusaders finished their 2016-2017 campaign with an overall record of 8-22, and a 6-12 mark in the Patriot League.
• Manis was named the 2016-2017 Patriot League Rookie of the Year, while senior Katie Doherty earned Academic All-Patriot League honors.

• The Crusaders are 9-28 all-time against Boston College.
• In the last meeting between the two programs, the Eagles defeated Holy Cross 60-51 in Chestnut Hill, Mass.
• The first meeting between these two teams took place during the 1978-1979 season, with BC winning 72-41.
• In games played in Worcester, the Eagles lead the series 11-6.

• Sophomore Lauren Manis earned a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds, but the Crusaders fell to Albany 65-56 on Sunday afternoon at the Hart Center at the Luth Athletic Complex.
• Manis tied for the team lead in scoring with 18 points and added a game-high 12 rebounds while shooting 7-for-8 from the free throw line.
• Senior Infiniti Thomas-Waheed totaled 18 points with five rebounds, two assists and two blocks.
• Sophomore Madalyn Smith notched six points and six assists.
• Albany was led by Jessica Fequiere, who tallied 15 points with six rebounds and three assists.
• Heather Forster earned a double-double for the Great Danes with 10 points and 11 rebounds.
• Holy Cross shot 42.9 percent from the field, while Albany shot 37.5 percent.
• The Great Danes held the edge in rebounds, 45-28.
• Albany gained a strong lead early in the third quarter, but Holy Cross battled back to cut the deficit to six points on two occasions. The Great Danes end the quarter with a 6-0 run, and entered the fourth quarter with a 49-37 advantage.
• Despite being down by 14 in the fourth Holy Cross came back to make it a five-point game in the final minute, but could not overcome the deficit.

• Boston College currently stands 3-5 on the season, and has fallen in four of its last five games. The Eagles most recently were defeated by Fairfield, 66-58, on Sunday afternoon at home. This season they have earned victories against Houston (79-74), Fordham (55-52) and Bryant (65-42).
• Boston College posted a 9-21 record last year, and 2-14 in the ACC. They were eliminated by Georgia Tech 71-67 in their first game of the ACC Tournament.
• Milan Bolden-Morris is the Eagles’ leading scorer, posting 12.9 points per game.
• Georgia Pineau is currently the team’s leading rebounder with an average of 8.8 boards per game.
• Head coach Erik Johnson is currently in his sixth season with Boston College.

• Following the game against BC, Holy Cross will play host to Vermont on Saturday, Dec. 9 at 12:05 p.m.
